Welcome to the UC Merced Off Campus Housing (OCH) Home Page. OCH is a service offered to UC Merced students and other Merced community members through the UC Merced Student Housing Office. Anyone can add a listing to the OCH database, and everyone can view our listings online. For more detailed information on OCH, check out the links above. Thanks for visiting our site.

Services

Student Housing maintains a database of off-campus housing (OCH) listings for the Merced community. This database is accessible through the World Wide Web and also in binders kept at the Student Housing Office.

There are four types of postings available: Roommate Wanted-A connecting point for those looking to fill up their house or apartment and those needing a place to live. Apartment/Condo-Look here if you are interested in renting or subleasing an Apartment or Condo by yourself or with roommates. House/Duplex-Look here if you are interested in renting or subleasing a house or duplex by yourself or with roommates. Room in a Private Home-Families and homeowners often rent a room to students. Most of these include kitchen and house privileges.

Category Definitions

House - Renting entire house
Apartment - Renting entire apartment
Roommate - Current renter looking for additional roommates
Room in a Private Home - Homeowner renting per room

Costs

Viewing our database online and searching through our hard copies are free services. Currently it is also free to add a listing.

We will keep your posting active for one month, starting at the date of submittal. If you wish to continue your listing beyond one month, edit your on-line listing using your OCH listing number and password or for paper listings, contact the Student Housing Office at housing@ucmerced.edu
